The Most Expensive Cities
Oslo, Norway has been chosen as the most expensive city according to the survey by The Economist’s Intelligence Unit. The survey was conducted by calculating the cost of doing business or staying as a tourist in 130 major destinations worldwide.
European cities dominated eight of the top 10 slots thanks to the strength of the euro. While the only Asian city which made it to the list is Tokyo, which had been the most expensive city for the last 14 years, and now has dropped to second place.
What about the American cities ? Well, none of them have made it to the top 10 list. New York is the most expensive among them all and it has slipped to no 27.
