Former Ritz-Carlton vice chairman Horst Schulze is launching a new brand aimed at affluent travelers who want the intimacy and exclusivity of a small lodging with the responsive, consistent service he instilled at Ritz-Carlton.
Each of the Capella Hotels & Resorts, to be unveiled in Ireland next year and Mexico in 2007, will have fewer than 100 rooms and offer what Schulze calls “an individualized experience.” Rates will be comparable to five-star hotels, he says.
