Loy Krathong Festival, Thailand

There is another idea in Asia to be exact is in Thailand, the festival is known as Loy Krathong. The purpose of this festival is said that “God also carry their sins, sufferings and bad luck along with Him”. The Loy Krathong Festival is also called as Festival of Lights and usually starts this month (ie. November 5th).
For those who are missing the opportunity to see this Festival, don’t worry, there is always next time. Don’t forget to take notes of the date though and make a booking prior that date. Of course for those who are in Thailand, don’t miss this event!
“It is an amazing experience to see the innumerable ornately decorated, candle-lit lotus-shaped float or traditional banana leaf floats in rivers, on the occasion of Loi Krathong festival in Thailand, widely known as festival of lights…According to the Thai vernacular, ‘Loy’ means ‘to float’ and Krathong is a ‘lotus-shaped float made of cork and banana leaves’…Each boats contains a candle, a flower, three sticks and a few coins. In full moon night people visit to the nearby rivers, ponds or canals and adrift in the water.”
