Have you been to Loveland, Colorado? There is one reason why Loveland can be one of unique holiday destination. Nowadays many artists, especially sculptors have invested $6 million worth of sculptures in Loveland’s parks.
Appearantly there are different range of wildlife featured in these artwork; such as wolves, horses, polar bears, etc.
Not only that, but there is major galleries and annual event for the largest outdoor juried sculpture in the nation.
“It has turned out to be one of the great success art stories in the country,” said John Villani, author of “The 100 Best Art Towns in America.”
The impact of these event is quite positive for the local people in Loveland, since they recruits more people to work on sculptures. For tourists, they are able to see unique or even most provokative creation by the artists.
“For example; the creation of Kokkin’s latest piece: The 13-foot-tall “Triangle” shows a man and a woman holding a third person above them, all nude. Some complained the piece is the equivalent of indecent exposure. Kokkin, who considers herself a traditionalist, just as Michelangelo and Rodin were, said there is nothing sexual about the work.”(source: yahoonews)
