Jetstar Review: StarClass

starclass_seats
In a month or two i’ll be flying with Jetstar Starclass to find out whether the money worth it. Some people say it is the same as upgraded economy class rather than business class. Here is what they said:

1. StarClass Seats

“I found them quite comfortable when using them for eating, drinking, watching movies etc.. For sleeping they don’t recline as much as I would like and with the leather covering it gets a bit stickier with one’s perspiration.” (Serfty, computer specialist)

It appears that the seat 2D is his most preferred seat since there is no seat directly in front.

According to Nelly Mobbs from frequent flyer, “the seats will be basically the same Millennium seats used today on the QF A330-200 domestic services, just recovered in leather and the addition of in-seat power for laptops.”

2. StarClass beverages

Unlike the Jetstar Saver/Flexi, StarClass provide meals for their passengers. As expected, the food were quite nice providing you with choices of food and drinks from their list.

Serfty from flyertalk said “the chicken was very nice; almost a dry curry style reminiscent of a rendang. Washed down with a couple of glasses of quite nice sparkling wine. I asked to see the label and it was from from a winery near Canberra.”

Again, the dessert was nice as well “for dessert the choice was “Tira-Misu” or a “Fruit Platter”. I went for the cake and it was nice. I washed it down with black plunger coffee which was very reasonable.”

3. Amenities

Jetstar will provide you with the ‘Comfort’ Pack consists of “a outer cloth like paper wrap held together with Velcro strips. This had two zipped pockets containing an ear-plug, socks, toothbrush (& paste), eye-shades a blanket and inflatable pillow.”

Just as expected, the headphones said to be quite effective in noise canceling and it also comes with AA battery.
