“What you should do when in Brunswick. Well you should visit Downtown Brunswick, walk around, shop, eat some Brunswick Stew @ the Brunswick Cafe. See Old City Hall, The Ritz Theatre and the art galleries. Then you should also go to Jekyll Island and see Driftwood Beach and the Historic District. Then drive to St. Simons see the lighthouse and pier. If you can you should also go to Cumberland Island. The ferry leaves from St. Marys.”

- Member of Tripadvisor rated 4/5 about Oceanside Inn & Suites, Jekyll Island and writes;
“I made reservations through Expedia a month before we arrived. Staff was very friendly upon arrival, and even during the stay the “maid staff” was very friendly. Hotel room was very clean. A few wrinkles in the carpet (however i have noticed this at just about every beach side hotel…. as a carpet installer i notice these things) but was clean with no overbearing “wet & moldy” smell i’ve noticed at other places. Bathroom was a little on the small side, but not crammed. My family consists of my wife & I and my 3, 5, & 13 year old children and all of them had a great time. My 13 year old & also my wife are quick to point out any, and i do mean ANY, thing wrong with any hotels we stay at but there was nothing to point out! Hotel restaraunt was clean, friendly and decently reasonable on cost ($35 for a family of 5 to eat breakfast.) Without any hesitation, I would recommend this hotel to anybody looking for a good room at a good price at an excellent location.”

- Ty Sawyer from MSNBC also writes about Jekyll Island;
“Travelers usually prefer to revel in the past on Jekyll; it’s a truly secret history, since the place was once one of the most exclusive clubs in the world. A place that did not welcome the curious eyes of the common man. Or even the uncommon man, since it has been said that during the 56 years the Club was in existence “no unwanted foot ever touched the island.”
