Continental Airlines new Baggage Limit

Continental Airlines have new updated baggage weight limit, make sure you are informed with the new rules. “Baggage in excess of 70 pounds (32 kilograms) or 115 linear inches (292 cm)(total length + width + height) will not be accepted as checked baggage. Continental will not accept more than 4 bags per customer that are overweight (over 50 pounds), oversize (over 62 linear inches) or a combination of overweight and oversize.”

The weight limits and charges are as follows:

“Continental - Bags over 50 lbs charged $25; bags over 70 lbs not accepted.

Northwest - Bags over 50 lbs charged $25; bags over 70 lbs charged $50; bags over 100 lbs not accepted.

US Airways - Bags over 50 lbs charged $50; bags over 70 lbs charged $80; bags over 100 lbs not accepted. The fees are waived for all military personnel and for First Class passengers with bags weighing 50 to 7o lbs.”
