China Plans Patrols to Protect the Great Wall

China Daily has reported that China plans to setup teams to patrol heavily visited parts of the Great Wall to help protect it from vandalism. The teams will be made up of rural residents who live along the giant structure.
The original Great Wall is one of the greatest wonders of the world built in the Qin Dynasty (221-206 BC) Warring States Periods as a defensive fortification by the three states: Yan, Zhao and Qin. The Wall winds up and down across deserts, grasslands, mountains and plateaus stretching approximately 6,700 kilometers (4,163 miles ) from east to west of China.
