Best Deals beginning November 1st
Frommers have gained some insight about the best deal beginning November 1st, 2006. If you are planning to travel during Thanksgiving and Christmas, this is a must see article.
According to Airfarewatchdog, they found the following Thanksgiving deals:
“Nashville to Cancun, $351 RT including all taxes on American Airlines over Christmas Week. Other airlines are charging at least $200 more. The base fare is about $109 each way, before tax…Charlotte to Barbados, $100 RT on Delta, including taxes.”
For leaving on Dec. 21st, returning 26th :
“Providence to San Francisco $354 RT, including taxes, on United (or a next lowest $924 RT on US Airways, same dates)
Dallas to New York $245 RT, a wide choice of nonstop flights on American, but only 3 seats were left on many flights at this price. The same fare was available leaving on Friday December 22 or Saturday December 23. Just to provide some perspective, the lowest fare from Dallas to New York for non-holiday travel is $232 RT with taxes, so clearly American is not price gouging on this route.”
Second option, is travelling with Airtran offering as low as $39 one-way to all their destinations
